How to read a feelings question

A "how do they feel" question is answered by the card's emotional register, not by a yes or no. Six of Cups describes the mood and the direction of what the other person carries — read it as a snapshot of the connection now, and let the position of the card in your spread (their feelings, their intentions, the near future) sharpen what it refers to.

In love it can announce someone returning from the past, or a relationship with the flavor of home and tenderness. It also invites you to reclaim innocence: to love with first-time simplicity.

Reversed, the card keeps its theme but turns it inward, blocks it or delays it — read the reversed meaning below through that lens.

Reversed, it warns nostalgia has become an anchor: you idealize the past and it keeps you from enjoying the present. What was has served its purpose. Be grateful for it and return to your today.
