How to read a feelings question

A "how do they feel" question is answered by the card's emotional register, not by a yes or no. Seven of Swords describes the mood and the direction of what the other person carries — read it as a snapshot of the connection now, and let the position of the card in your spread (their feelings, their intentions, the near future) sharpen what it refers to.

Seven of Swords as feelings, upright

In love it warns of secrets, half-truths, or someone dodging commitment through the back door. If something doesn't add up, ask directly. Trust is repaired with transparency, not surveillance.

Seven of Swords as feelings, reversed

Reversed, the card keeps its theme but turns it inward, blocks it or delays it — read the reversed meaning below through that lens.

Reversed, it announces the hidden coming to light: a confession, a deception uncovered, or the decision to stop hiding. The truth may be uncomfortable, but it frees. It's a good time to come clean.
