How to read them together
Two cards together don't simply add up: they qualify each other. What Death means

What The Tower means
The Tower announces a sudden shock that topples what was built on false foundations. It hurts, but the truth it reveals sets you free. What falls now could not hold you; what remains standing will be real.
The combination in love
Death in love: In love it marks the close of a dynamic or a relationship that has run its course. If the couple continues, it must be reborn on new foundations. Release what no longer lives so love can breathe.
The Tower in love: In love it can bring a revelation that changes the relationship overnight: a truth coming to light or an unexpected breakup. After the collapse you can build something honest — with this person or without them.
