How to read a feelings question

A "how do they feel" question is answered by the card's emotional register, not by a yes or no. Three of Cups describes the mood and the direction of what the other person carries — read it as a snapshot of the connection now, and let the position of the card in your spread (their feelings, their intentions, the near future) sharpen what it refers to.

In love it brings social, joyful phases: meeting each other's friends, couple celebrations, or a love born within your circle. Just be careful not to let third parties weigh in too much.

Reversed, the card keeps its theme but turns it inward, blocks it or delays it — read the reversed meaning below through that lens.

Reversed, it warns of overindulgence, gossip, or a social circle that drains rather than nourishes. It can also signal isolation or feeling left out. Choose company that celebrates your good, not envies it.
