How to read a feelings question

A "how do they feel" question is answered by the card's emotional register, not by a yes or no. The Lovers describes the mood and the direction of what the other person carries — read it as a snapshot of the connection now, and let the position of the card in your spread (their feelings, their intentions, the near future) sharpen what it refers to.

The Lovers as feelings, upright

This is the great card of love: real attraction, soul-level connection, and relationships that leave a mark. It may signal the start of something important or a key decision within the couple.

The Lovers as feelings, reversed

Reversed, the card keeps its theme but turns it inward, blocks it or delays it — read the reversed meaning below through that lens.

Reversed, it signals disharmony, indecision, or a choice made against your own values. There may be distance in a relationship. Ask yourself again what you truly want before going on.
