The Hierophant as feelings
How to read a feelings question
A "how do they feel" question is answered by the card's emotional register, not by a yes or no. The Hierophant describes the mood and the direction of what the other person carries — read it as a snapshot of the connection now, and let the position of the card in your spread (their feelings, their intentions, the near future) sharpen what it refers to.
The Hierophant as feelings, upright
In love it points to formal relationships and commitment: a serious partnership, marriage, or shared values as the couple's foundation. This is a union that wants to build something real.
The Hierophant as feelings, reversed
Reversed, the card keeps its theme but turns it inward, blocks it or delays it — read the reversed meaning below through that lens.
Reversed, it invites you to question rules that no longer serve you, or warns of dogmatism and stifling structures. It may be time to find your own path — without rebelling just to rebel.
