How to read a feelings question

A "how do they feel" question is answered by the card's emotional register, not by a yes or no. The Hermit describes the mood and the direction of what the other person carries — read it as a snapshot of the connection now, and let the position of the card in your spread (their feelings, their intentions, the near future) sharpen what it refers to.

The Hermit as feelings, upright

In love it can indicate a need for space, or a period of solitude to heal and understand what you want. In a relationship, it invites deep conversation rather than grand gestures.

The Hermit as feelings, reversed

Reversed, the card keeps its theme but turns it inward, blocks it or delays it — read the reversed meaning below through that lens.
