The Hanged Man as feelings
How to read a feelings question
A "how do they feel" question is answered by the card's emotional register, not by a yes or no. The Hanged Man describes the mood and the direction of what the other person carries — read it as a snapshot of the connection now, and let the position of the card in your spread (their feelings, their intentions, the near future) sharpen what it refers to.
The Hanged Man as feelings, upright
In love it suggests a period of waiting or rethinking. You may need to yield on something, or see the other person with new eyes. Don't force decisions: let clarity arrive.
The Hanged Man as feelings, reversed
Reversed, the card keeps its theme but turns it inward, blocks it or delays it — read the reversed meaning below through that lens.
Reversed, it warns of a stagnation that no longer teaches anything, or sacrifices nobody asked of you. If you've been paused too long out of fear of deciding, it's time to come down from the tree and act.
