How to read a feelings question

A "how do they feel" question is answered by the card's emotional register, not by a yes or no. Four of Wands describes the mood and the direction of what the other person carries — read it as a snapshot of the connection now, and let the position of the card in your spread (their feelings, their intentions, the near future) sharpen what it refers to.

Four of Wands as feelings, upright

In love it's a beautiful card: commitment, marriage, moving in together, or simply a relationship that feels like home. The couple celebrates what they've built and looks ahead with excitement.

Four of Wands as feelings, reversed

Reversed, the card keeps its theme but turns it inward, blocks it or delays it — read the reversed meaning below through that lens.

Reversed, it points to tension at home, a postponed celebration, or an unsettled transition. Harmony needs upkeep: tend the small cracks before they widen.
