The short version: we use one essential technical cookie so you can sign in, and aggregate analytics to understand what works. Part of that analytics (Plausible) needs no permission because it uses no cookies; another part (Google Analytics) does use cookies, so we ask for your consent through a simple banner the first time you visit the site.
1. Essential cookies
A single technical cookie, exempt from consent under applicable rules (Art. 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI and EU ePrivacy guidance), because the service cannot function without it:

Noviluna is available in five languages (Spanish, English, Portuguese, Italian and French). Your language preference is stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage, key nl_locale) — it is not a cookie and is not sent with every request; if you sign up, your language is also linked to your profile. Your choice about analytics cookies (accept or essentials only) is also stored in localStorage, key nl_cookie_consent.
2. Cookieless analytics: Plausible
We use Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate product usage. It requires no consent because:
- It uses no cookies and no persistent identifiers on your device.
- It collects no personal data and does not follow you across websites.
- It produces only aggregate statistics (page views, approximate country, device type).
It's always active, whether or not you accept the rest of the cookies.
3. Analytics with cookies: Google Analytics (requires your consent)
We also use Google Analytics 4, which does use cookies to better understand how the site is used (which pages work, where traffic comes from). It only activates if you accept the cookie banner the first time you visit the site; if you don't accept, Google only receives a minimal, cookieless signal that does not identify you.

You can change your mind at any time: clear the site data for noviluna.app in your browser settings (or the localStorage key nl_cookie_consent) and you'll see the banner again on your next visit.
4. What we do NOT use
- ✗ Advertising cookies or third-party cookies for advertising purposes.
- ✗ Social media tracking pixels.
- ✗ Fingerprinting or equivalent tracking techniques.
5. How to manage cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the essential cookie will prevent signing in; blocking Google Analytics cookies does not affect the service, only our statistics.
