How to read a feelings question

A "how do they feel" question is answered by the card's emotional register, not by a yes or no. Nine of Pentacles describes the mood and the direction of what the other person carries — read it as a snapshot of the connection now, and let the position of the card in your spread (their feelings, their intentions, the near future) sharpen what it refers to.

In love it speaks of loving from wholeness, not from need: you are complete on your own, and that makes you a better partner. If single, enjoy your independence; whatever love arrives will add, not rescue.

Nine of Pentacles as feelings, reversed

Reversed, the card keeps its theme but turns it inward, blocks it or delays it — read the reversed meaning below through that lens.

Reversed, it warns of success you can't enjoy, financial dependence, or measuring your worth only by what you produce. It can also point to nonstop work filling some other void. You are more than your output.
