A "how do they feel" question is answered by the card's emotional register, not by a yes or no. Nine of Cups describes the mood and the direction of what the other person carries — read it as a snapshot of the connection now, and let the position of the card in your spread (their feelings, their intentions, the near future) sharpen what it refers to.

In love it announces emotional fulfillment: a genuinely satisfying relationship or a romantic wish coming true. It's time to enjoy the affection without hunting for flaws in your happiness.

Nine of Cups as feelings, reversed

Reversed, the card keeps its theme but turns it inward, blocks it or delays it — read the reversed meaning below through that lens.

Reversed, it reveals the fulfilled wish didn't fill the void, or that shallow satisfactions are being chased. Perhaps you aimed at what others wanted for you. Redefine what fulfillment means on your own terms.
