A "how do they feel" question is answered by the card's emotional register, not by a yes or no. King of Cups describes the mood and the direction of what the other person carries — read it as a snapshot of the connection now, and let the position of the card in your spread (their feelings, their intentions, the near future) sharpen what it refers to.

King of Cups as feelings, upright

In love it's an emotionally mature partner: present, steady, and able to talk about feelings. It invites building a calm bond where storms are weathered together. It can represent a caring, balanced man.

King of Cups as feelings, reversed

Reversed, the card keeps its theme but turns it inward, blocks it or delays it — read the reversed meaning below through that lens.

Reversed, it warns of repressed emotions that harden into distance or leak out as quiet manipulation. Feigned calm is not balance. Name what you feel before it speaks for you in ugly ways.
